Meta Reveals Text To Video AI
Are you one of those waiting for the meta text to video AI?
Meta has announced that they are working on a text-to-video project.
This matters because it paves the way for a new generation of AI visual video makers.
I, for one, am as excited as this golden retriever eating ice cream.
Let’s take a closer look at the preview that Facebook has released.

Make-A-Video
Make-A-Video is a state-of-the-art AI system that generates videos from the text.
Surreal Option
Here is a teddy bear painting a portrait of a teddy bear.
And you can see him in a surreal style.
We have this one-second-long clip.
The overall effect is absolutely mind-blowing.
You can switch between these different tabs here to see some other examples of the text input and the video output.
Realistic Option
So let’s have a look at Realitistic, where we can see an artist brush painting on a canvas close up.
And there’s nothing to tell me that this was not real-life filming.
The bokeh effect of the blurred background is especially impressive.
And this young couple walking in the rain is beautiful, but I have to say they look more like a Siamese pair of twins.
Not to be critical of the system, I am just interpreting what is available right now.
Now, this is slightly more apparent that it is an AI-generated film with some random morphing of the colors and patterns on the fish.
And here is a very life-like horse drinking some water.
Stylized Option
They also have a stylized option.
Here we can see a hyper-realistic spaceship landing on Mars.
So it’s very beautiful that it added this emotion to just this image of a ship on the high seas.
You can also add extra creativity to your video by adapting and creating variations on a piece.

Final Thoughts
Allowing Meta’s text-to-video AI to be open to all will create a platform for a new age of creativity and storytelling.
Combined with existing tools, we’re going to see a whole new world of visual storytelling emerge.
So it seems like this is currently a proof of concept.
There is no release date.
No idea how much it will cost.
And how well it actually performs in the real world
These are obviously the best examples they have, but it is incredibly promising especially because we’ve heard a rumor of other platforms such as stability, generating their own versions of this technology.
