This course is jam-packed with valuable and applicable information.

David’s style of teaching is clear and engaging.

I also like how user-friendly the course itself is.

Case in point, after hearing feedback from students that the length of each video should be shorter, David inserted more breaks between the slides, making each video less than 10 minutes long.

These bite-sized lectures make the course more approachable and the information more readily digestible.

Review

Very good content.

Everything is explained in an easy and straight to the point approach.

Love the takeaways especially the ones at the end of the sections.

It’s bad that sometimes the audio is very very low, which makes it tricky to hear even with headphones.

The last sections that focus more on WordPress are good even if you don’t work with such a tool, the important is to understand the design process.

  • Nuno Filipe Trovisco Fernandes, 4.5 stars.

Verdict

Unless you’re only going to be using free trials of Adobe Photoshop, Axure RP, and free WordPress hosting, be prepared to spend some cash.

However, this course does go on sale, so if you’re tight on cash, wait for a sale.

A good and clear course!

The reason I don’t rate it five stars is because I wish there were even more neat tips and tricks/shortcuts that a more experienced user could learn from.

In this case, it would also be nice to see some “edge cases” of the use of this app, and how to maneuver this elegantly.

But all in all a good and concise Figma course!

  • Thomas Rankin, 4.5 stars.

Verdict

If you’re new to UX design, want a cheaper course, or a course that gets straight to the point, this course is worth considering.

  • 30-day money-back guarantee

 Cons

  • Expensive

Review

The content is tricky: if you just watch and don’t practice together with the video, you will lose money ordering the training.

The videos are followed by the scanned images which are very useful to practice at the desk!

The instructor has a strong accent but nothing that would compromise the training experience.

I love her simplicity and dedication.

This training should not only be done by UX designers.

It will back you to childhood and make you have a lot of fun. I strongly recommend the course.

As a recommendation for the updated version of this course:

  • Explore in more detail the pen sizes and perhaps a review of brands in detail.
  • A transcript (not the computer-generated) and some captions would support the accent.

For those UX designers who have kids at home, I encourage them to train together with the kids.

They will love it =)

Overall the course is deeply recommended. Well done the instructor. I love it =)

  • Rod Macedo, 4.5 stars.

Verdict

If you struggle with technology and prefer a more traditional approach, this course is for you.

Review

Very helpful and straight forward!

This course boils a complicated process down to the essentials and gives a helpful structure and step by step guidance.

I appreciate that it is short and straight to the point!

As a visual designer that has worked in several fields, I find setting up a portfolio a huge pain.

The content-first approach outlined here is very helpful for any kind of design portfolio.

As mentioned in other reviews, the only critique I have is that some stuff, especially the examples, is shown too briefly to understand what’s going on, so you’ll have to type in the links to have a closer look.

Would be much smoother if the links were clickable somewhere. Other than that, very helpful!

  • N. Chris Raeuber, 4.5 stars.

Verdict

If you’ve already made one UX project, this course will expand your skills to differentiate you from other UX designers.

This course is ideal for intermediate UX designers.

Review

Along with her book, this is one of my best experience of online courses.

The course contents are solid and well-organized.

Susan presents it clearly and interestingly which is so engaging that I stopped all other courses I bought and finished this one first without a break.

I also like that the course does not give me a heavy feeling although it involves a lot of scientific theories and researches.

The best part is that she always links all the theories with practical usages by exploring existing real cases.

Gained a lot after the course and can not wait to apply these points to my work. Thanks a lot, Susan!

  • Chao Z, five stars.

Verdict

You might want to take this course if you want to know more about how to drive user engagement.

With a 4.6 rating, the course has been received positively, so it’s worth trying if UX engagement is something you care about.

I was a designer for many years and got out of the business for some time.

My skills are still really great, but the industry has moved forward since then.

This course is a great way to get a look into what UI and UX design is about.

These skills are necessary for the current job market.

I’m very impressed with the course and with the instructor.

She has a great perspective on things and is pleasant to listen to.

She is great at making her point, giving illustrative examples, and then summarizing and repeating the important point of the lesson.

I am also enjoying the additional references to articles and books. Thank you for the opportunity to take these classes. This is my first class, but I have already signed up for more.

I’m a 20+ year graphic designer.

The other 20% is digital, creating graphics for screens, social media, and the web.

I don’t know any coding, but after all these years, I need to learn UI/UX design.

Daniel is very, very, very detailed in this course: a lot of it is way over my head, but the good thing is that I can always log in and rewatch any video in this course at any time.
